Created for the Scalabrini Centre in Cape Town, “Migration and Citizenship,” examines the challenges faced by children born in South Africa to foreign parents. Following the 2013 Citizenship Act amendment, which allows these children to apply for citizenship upon turning 18, the documentary explores implementation issues through Caroline’s personal story of seeking South African citizenship.
