Created for Oxfam, South Africa, “The People Vs Queers” follows a group of activists who flip the script on tradition. In a gutsy move, they wear Xhosa blankets – typically a symbol of manhood – to protest gender violence and stand up for women’s and LGBTQ+ rights.

The film dives into the heated debate this sparks, showing both the backlash and the hope for change in South African communities. A raw look at culture, identity, and the fight for equality.
